Lilian Ahlefeldt-Laurvig

Companion of Serge Lifar.

Swedish, Inga Lilian Nymberg was married to a Danish count. In 1958, she met at the Grand Duke André Romanoff, Serge Lifar, dancer, choreographer, star of the Ballets Russes. She remains his companion for thirty years. After his death in 1986, she devoted herself to safeguarding his memory and his work and remarried in 1996 to a young Moldovan he met in Vienna and fifty years her junior.

Died in Lausanne, she rests with Serge Lifar.
