Vera de Zybine Riabouchinsky
Wife of Professor Dimitry Riabouchinsky, Vera Rabouchinsky was a maid of honor to the Empresses Marie and Alexandra. Daughter of Serge de Zybine, Chamberlain of His Majesty the Emperor of Russia, Grand Marshal of Nobility of the Government of Nizhny Novgorod, and Princess Alexandra Tenicheff, she was a strong and remarkable personality, an excellent musician and distinguished art critic. She was an exemplary mother to her three daughters and always supported, to the extent of her possibilities, in his scientific activity. It was in Paris that Dimitri Riabouchinsky met Vera Zybine. Mademoiselle de Zybine had become friends with the Riabouchinsky, Nadine and Alexandra, Dimitri's sisters, who were traveling with their English lady-in-waiting. Around the same time, Dimitri Riabouchinsky came to Paris. That same year, on May 11, 1906, Dimitri Riabouchinsky and Vera de Zybine married in Paris in the Russian Cathedral on rue Daru.
